Bowls/Alabaster
| Alabaster Bowls- These outstanding lathe turned Alabaster bowls and vases with segmented wood trim are handcrafted by Northern California artist Guy Michaels. The Alabaster stone (crystalline gypsum)which Michaels uses is from Utah, Italy, Arizona and California. The walls of the fragile stone carved to 3/16 of an inch are often transluscent. Colors of the Alabaster range from white, grey, brown, salmon, pink and orange and are available in sizes from 3" - 13". "Vessels In Alabaster" is an annual showing of the artist work at Nature Gallery and will be in November this year. The show is an excellent opportunity to meet the artist and see an our the largest selection of his latest work including an outstaning torcheir floor lamp with an Alabaster shade.
